Hyleys Tea, which belongs to a few brands that are priced and packaged in Sri Lanka, has added a wide range of fruit and herbal teas from Harmony collection to its products on the Georgian market.
Earlier only the slim tea from Harmony collection was present on the Georgian market.
Now consumers are able to buy and taste green and black ginger, ginger, raspberry, cranberry, graviola, pomegranate, blueberry, chamomile, mint, linden, hibiscus, lemon balm, thyme tea and others from the same collection.
Hyleys Tea retain 100 per cent of the original flavor of freshly picked tea, and are available in almost all supermarkets in Georgia and in the branches of PSP and Aversi pharmacies, founder of Everest 2010 Mamuka Japaridze told Golden Brand.
He says that Hyleys Teas are for all segments in Georgia.
“We offer low, middle and high-priced products,”Japaridze said.
Currently 50 different types of Hyleys Tea are imported to Georgia, while the brand overall produces more than 200 species of tea.
Japaridze states that Hyleys British collection is more popular than other collections both in Georgia and abroad.
“Hyleys became recognised around the world thanks to the British collection which is 100 per cent black Ceylone tea, hand-picked, without additives,” Japaridze stated.
Since its inception back in 1997 Regency Teas LTD has been packing tea under its flagship brand Hyleys.
The wide range of teas under the Hyleys portfolio includes classic black and green tea as well as specialty blends with flavours and herbs.
The company sources these flavors and herbs from various countries worldwide and is one of the few tea exporters in Sri Lanka to have its own cold storage facility especially for herbs.
Hyleys recently launched several functional and end-user benefit teas consisting of 100% natural ingredients in stride with the latest global consumer trends.
These innovative products have special packaging and unique customer appeal, adding further value to ‘taste and health’ aspects.
Regency Teas exports to over 25 countries worldwide and its strongest outreach is in North America and Eastern Europe.
On the manufacturing front, the company operates a production plant of 90,000 square feet with modern infrastructure, tea packaging machinery and highly skilled staff.
Annually, the factory produces 3,500 metric tons of tea in value added form under strict Food Safety Management Systems and guidelines.
The plant is certified through the Sri Lanka Tea Board and Bureau Veritas for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 which is a recognized body of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
The company is also licensed to manufacture products certified by kosher and organic bodies.
Q. How long has Hyleys been present on the Georgian market?
A. Hyleys has been present on the local market since 2003. We have a stable growth of about 20 per cent year-by-year.
Q. What was the pandemic impact on imports, sales?
A. The coronavirus pandemic has caused serious complications. Both the price for products and transportation expenses have increased. However, we are a strong company and there was no deficit in providing the product.
